NTN advertises department job postings on the NTN job board, NTN’s social media channels, and internet job boards. NTN will email active candidates (over 250,000 emails sent weekly) newly posted jobs weekly.
NTN supports law enforcement, fire services, emergency communications, corrections and transit occupations with validated assessments developed by Ergometrics & Applied Personnel Research and sole-sourced to NTN for use.
Candidates can test every day. NTN offers candidates accessible testing options, including virtual and in-person sessions, Monday through Sunday.
Continuous and accessible testing provides the maximum amount of flexibility for candidates to participate in the hiring process. High candidate participation results in a more diverse and qualified applicant pool for departments to select from. Continuous testing also supports a more engaged applicant pool, filling department funnels with candidates ready to serve.
Eligibility lists can be created using tools available in the NTN Client Portal. Departments can choose when to establish the list and download candidate eligibility lists on demand.
The majority of candidate results are available instantly and accessible from the NTN Client Portal. Some exams, such as physical abilities or ADA, may take an additional 2-3 business days to process.
Departments will receive all results for candidates who apply to their job. This includes all application information, PHQ, test score results, which provide detailed dimensional scoring for each candidate, physical ability test scores, online interview, background investigation and psychological evaluation results.

NTN uses a split pricing model between departments and candidates. Departments select a one, three or five year membership, and candidates pay a per-test fee. Departments may also choose to cover candidate testing costs through our voucher program.
National Testing Network has several annual membership options. At a minimum, we require departments to sign up for one year. Departments may choose to utilize our services throughout the year, or for short term hiring projects.
Yes, departments can cover full or partial candidate testing fees with the NTN voucher program. Please contact us for more information on how to set this up and the different options available.
Yes, we have an online process for candidates to apply for financial assistance and work closely with the department through the approval process.
